Roger’s lifelong love of athletics began with baseball and eventually led him to a sport he has played for more than 55 years: handball. His athletic journey has been defined by competition, camaraderie, and a determination to stay in the game. After earning degrees from the University of Colorado, Washington University in St. Louis, and Stanford, Roger built a career in technology, including helping launch Sequent Computer Systems in 1983. In retirement, he turned his energy toward giving back through volunteer work with LEGO Robotics and the MAF Board. Along the way, Roger’s greatest partnership has been with his wife, Gale, with whom he recently celebrated 57 years of marriage.
