✨ Celebrating Collaboration, Building Community ✨ Celebrating Collaboration, Building Community ✨
The Impact Award recognizes a nonprofit that exemplifies the power of collaboration to expand access to youth sports, education, and opportunities in our community. Each year, we honor a grant partner whose partnerships strengthen and inspire us all.
In 2024, Adaptive Sports Northwest (ASNW) received the award for their outstanding work connecting youth and adults with physical and visual disabilities to recreational and competitive sports like swimming, cycling, goalball, and wheelchair basketball. Since 1982, ASNW has built a network of community partners, volunteers, and supporters to serve more than 450 athletes annually, creating space for confidence, connection, and the joy of play.
This November, we’ll gather again to celebrate the 2025 Impact Award and honor another organization carrying this spirit forward. Join us on Tuesday, November 4 from 5–7:30 PM at the Multnomah Athletic Club for an evening of connection, inspiration, and action. Meet our 2025–2026 grant partners, celebrate this year’s award recipient, and discover ways to volunteer, serve, and uplift youth in our community.
🌟 It’s not about the money — it’s about what we can achieve when we come together.

☀️ Bright Spots: Camp Spark 10th Anniversary ☀️
This summer, one of our 2024-2025 grant recipients, Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) celebrated the 10th anniversary of Camp Spark — a weeklong sports camp for youth who are blind or visually impaired.
Camp Spark uses the power of sports and physical activity to build independence, confidence, and community. For many campers, it’s their first chance to be away from home, connect with peers with similar experiences, and discover new possibilities for leadership and growth.
Owen, a Camp Spark athlete, shared:
“I have become a lot more aware of my capabilities as a camper and a leader. I see myself as a better athlete and leader and overall better person among the visually impaired who can advocate too.”
Congratulations to NWABA on 10 years of Camp Spark and to all the athletes who are proving what’s possible! 💛

His first year was full of new experiences—from cheering at football games to dorm life adventures. With a new school year just around the corner, Omar is excited for what’s ahead and ready to dive even deeper into his college journey!
We’re proud to follow along as our Loprinzi Scholars continue to grow and thrive.
