Bio: Tony was raised in Pennsylvania, where he got involved in running by tagging along on the last few minutes of his dad’s morning jogs. • He’s mostly traded running for cycling, which is a bit kinder on the knees. • Tony is a hopelessly dedicated fan of Philadelphia sports.

Bio: Holly, a native Oregonian, began swimming at age 4, which led to a fulfilling and fun swimming career. As s kid she loved to ride bikes, run and participate in all water sports, especially water skiing. As a young mother, Holly learned about soccer through coaching her children and fell in love with that sport. Later in life, she learned to snow ski and play tennis. Daily, you can find her taking exercise classes, playing tennis or walking her dog. Athletics and athletic actives keep her young, healthy and happy.

Bio: Jamie is left handed, but plays golf right handed and is still waiting for his first hole in one! He was a member of the 1998 State Championship golf team at Jesuit High School

Athletics makes me feel: Like I can accomplish anything physically, mentally, emotionally and intelligently.
Bio: Billy became involved in the Foundation with an assist from his main teammate – his wife Kali. She was asked to participate on the board but recommended him due to her exceptionally full calendar. • His proudest athletic achievement is being named captain of my HS and College basketball teams. • Sports teaches him a lot about how to navigate life in general.

Bio: Trina is a proud mother of a 10 and 13 year old full time. • She has a passion for yoga practice and has been trying to master a four-minute headstand for 15 years! • A 90 year old woman on the cover of Trina’s favorite yoga book inspires her to practice daily and to never stop.

Bio: Lisa can be characterized in three words: focused, adaptable, and exuberant. • She loves to travel and wanders globally, having been to 38 countries and still counting! • Lisa can be found outdoors hiking, biking, running, climbing, diving, skiing, or surfing! •

Bio: Julie enjoys synchronized swimming and her proudest athletic achievement was through the MAC team that won multiple National Championships, along with a 2nd place at World Championships. • A fun fact about Julie is that she played first oboe in the Salem Jr. Symphony. • Julie’s part of the MAF team when she was assigned as a MAC board liaison • She serves as a Director Emeritus.

Bio: George co-founded the Foundation with John Herman in 1989. • He’s been inducted to Portland Interscholastic League’s Hall of Fame. • George’s favorite players to watch were MBL player, Mickey Mantle and NFL Quarterback, Johnny Unitas • He serves as a Director Emeritus.

Bio: Nova’s world revolves around baseball. • The ballpark is her place of dreaming, reflecting, and where she always feels more herself than anywhere else in the world. • Her proudest athletic achievement was receiving the Little League Volunteer of the Year Award (North Portland Little League). •

Bio: Rosana grew up in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. • She loves to travel and learn about various cultures. • She’s proud to have learned how to ski at a later age, while being able to tackle blue and black diamond trails. • Sport allows Rosana to connect with nature.
Bio: Keith is inspired by the strength of his hero, Abraham Lincoln. • In 1985, he scored two goals to beat undefeated Notre Dame 2-0. • Fun Fact: Keith is a jock but participated in his High-School musical senior year! Committee: Community Engagement

Bio: Vishnu’s hometown is Salem, Oregon. • While growing up, tennis was his favorite sport to play and watch. • During Vishnu’s spare time, he loves to stay active outdoors and take on hiking trails.

Bio: Mark Holman grew up in Ojai, California. • His character can be defined in three traits: dedicated, compassionate, and competitive. • Sport teaches Mark that attaining a personal best makes society better. •

Bio: Luanna is inspired by athletes pushing themselves to excel. • She enjoys playing many sports through the years, especially tennis. • She also loves exploring new places, people and cultures. • Art plays an important part in her life and you can find Luanna painting in watercolor or acrylics. •

Bio: Scott enjoys playing outdoors in the garden with his two-year-old daughter, Avery. • His father is his hero, following his footsteps as best possible: including playing college basketball and becoming a dentist.

Bio: Randy has a passion for staying active and volunteering within his Portland community. • Though Randy loves traveling, he also enjoys exploring restaurants and coffee shops in his cultured, hometown. • Sport teaches Randy to collaborate, to work hard, to persevere, and to challenge himself.

Bio: Ken’s passion for basketball was sparked at a young age when his father put a double hoop in the driveway. • His greatest athletic achievement was bringing to life the Denver Broncos’ identity and uniforms. • Sport teaches Ken how to have a dream and how to work to make it happen.

Bio: Matt is a local, Portland native. • He was inspired to play basketball after the Trail Blazers won the NBA Championship in 1977. • His greatest athletic achievement was claiming the crown at the U.S. National Championship for Squash Men’s 5.0 in Hartford, CT •

Bio: Susan grew up in the water, swimming with her neighborhood swim squad. • She can be seen fueling her body with tacos or anything involving avocados! • Did you know that Susan was a part of a curling league in Portland? • And she learned how to surf this year! •

Bio: Pam first started skiing at the age of 6. While Pam’s mom worked at a ski resort, she and her brother would take advantage of free ski passes. • She has completed in 20 Hood to Coast’s and 15 Cycle Oregon’s • In her spare time she loves to watch sports or participate in even more sports. •

Bio: Roger is a Colorado Springs native and began playing catch with his dad at the age of 5. • His baseball passion progressed through little league, high school, and intramural in college. • Roger’s greatest athletic achievement was putting together a fast pitch softball intramural team at University of Colorado that won the all school championship! •

Bio: Kim loved to climb trees during her childhood, alongside her brother and cousin around the woods. • Cycling around Europe is one of Kim’s greatest athletic accomplishment. • Particularly, cycling to summits of huge climbs, such as Mt. Ventoux in France •
